Research interests

Having a background in Coaching & Mentoring, Occupational Psychology and Human Resource Management, my main area of interest surrounds organisational behaviour.
I am interested in factors influencing work performance such as coaching and mentoring, stress, mental health issues, personality factors, and employee well-being. I am interested in the borderlines between coaching & counselling.
I am also interested in employability and how students can enhance their employability whilst studying full and part time courses. Current research is focusing upon the transition of a counselling approach to a coaching model.
I am responsible for supervising numerous postgraduate students who undertake research (both quantitative and qualitative) in a number of fields mainly focusing on coaching and mentoring and human resource management. Current research areas include mens’ perceptions of coaching; stakeholder views of coaching efficacy; stress management within the NHS.
