The aim of this article is to enable readers to read, understand and critically evaluate a research article in which graphs are used. After reading this article you should be able to:
- read, interpret and critically evaluate data presented in the form of a graph
- understand the way the relationship between independent and dependent variables is expressed in a graph
- plot a graph
- understand the different types of relationships between variables
